Investigations Launched into the Murder of Parakar Municipality Mayor Valodya Grigoryan

The Investigative Committee has initiated a criminal case regarding the murder that occurred in the village of Mrdzavan, part of the Parakar consolidated community. This was reported to Auroranews by the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia.

According to the statement, a criminal case has been initiated in the Vagharshapat investigatory department of the Armavir regional investigative division under Article 155, Part 1 (two episodes), Article 44-155, Part 1, and Article 335, Part 1 of the RA Criminal Code. During the preliminary investigation, forensic examinations have been appointed. Evidence gathering and procedural actions are being conducted.

It is noted that the Ministry of Internal Affairs had previously informed that gunshots were heard on the Yerevan highway in the Mrdzavan community of Armavir province. Initial reports indicate that there are 2 fatalities and 1 injured, with one of the deceased being community leader Valodya Grigoryan.
