In Armenia, No One Is Killed or Even Assaulted for Their Political Views, Says Simonyan

The Speaker of the National Assembly, Alen Simonyan, wrote on his social media page: "Representatives of the previous authorities, who live in a criminal subculture, and their cheap servants, who have been behind a number of political murders, the events of March 1 and October 27, and election fraud, are trying and will continue to try to connect the tragic event in Parakar with the current authorities. They do this so that they do not feel like the sole murderers, thieves, and fraudsters, and to create a distance from the former thieves while receiving money from them. However, these attempts have been and will be in vain; in Armenia, no one is killed or even assaulted for their political beliefs, elections are not falsified, and the power that has lost takes on its opposition part. In Armenia, no one remains unpunished, and each case of violence receives both political and legal assessments. Political murders, vendettas, and impunity are long in the past, along with you. My deepest condolences to the relatives of the deceased," wrote Alen Simonyan.

It is worth noting that yesterday, on September 23, at 23:52, gunshots were heard on Yerevan Highway in the village of Mrajaran, Armavir Province. There are 2 dead and 1 injured. One of the deceased is community leader Valodia Grigoryan.
