UN Plays No Role, Says US Secretary

The United Nations is unable to fulfill its mission, including in resolving the crisis in Ukraine. This was stated by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio during an appearance on Fox News.

“The UN is an organization with tremendous potential, but it does not realize that. If you look at the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, you will see that there is a war going on, and it is the US President trying to find a solution, while the UN plays no role. The same is happening in Gaza. Even in our own hemisphere, in Haiti, where factions have seized power, the US is calling on the UN to intervene, but China may obstruct those efforts,” Rubio said.

According to him, President Donald Trump intends to raise the question of what the purpose and usefulness of this organization is if it does not perform its work during his address at the UN General Assembly.
