Levon Zurabyan, the Deputy Chairman of the Armenian National Congress, wrote this on his Facebook page addressing Armenia's first President Levon Ter-Petrosyan.

“Addressing the first President Levon Ter-Petrosyan: Dear Mr. President, your recent critical statements regarding Nikol Pashinyan have elicited a significant public response, gaining widespread traction in the media and on social networks.

Fully accepting the validity and truth of your criticism, I ask you to consider a delicate circumstance. The country is headed by an individual suffering from mental disorders and hysterical episodes, whose responses to your, no matter how accurate, revelations push him out of balance, provoking even deeper hysterical episodes and insomnia, which can have serious, even seismic, consequences for the country's security and stability, as has happened many times in the past.

In this clouded state, Nikol Pashinyan is even prepared to make false accusations against his own country and provide fabricated testimonies for a 'Nuremberg' fake trial organized by Azerbaijani President Aliyev against the Republic of Armenia. He will give false testimonies but will not reveal the Minsk Group's peace plan, which he rejected in 2019, avoiding a fact-based debate over the Artsakh issue and exposing evidence of the refusal to negotiate in 2020 that plunged Armenia into a disastrous war.

The situation is serious, Mr. President. The patient is already confusing the letters of abbreviations, offering a public debate in a prison cell, raving about some 'peace zone' and 'nourishing mothers.'

Considering that even imagining a debate with Nikol Pashinyan is fraught with the risk of further deterioration in the mental state of the country's leader and serious threats to Armenia's security, I request your authorization to participate in the debate with Pashinyan on your behalf.
