Drones Paralyze the Largest Airport in Northern Europe
Drones have paralyzed the largest airport in Northern Europe overnight. Denmark's Copenhagen Airport was closed for four hours last night after two or three large drones appeared on the runway. Nearly 200 flights were delayed or canceled in Copenhagen and Oslo.
Copenhagen's Kastrup and Oslo's Gardermoen airports are the two busiest airports in Scandinavia.
Denmark's police chief, Jens Jespersen, stated that it is still too early to determine whether the incidents in Denmark and Norway are related. The Danish police have declined to comment on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's post on X, in which he claimed, without providing evidence, that Russia is behind the incursion into Denmark's airspace.
