MP Tigran Abrahamyan from the "Brightness of Armenia" faction writes:

“A significant number of European countries, which are not involved in a war, as well as the EU, have announced an increase in military budgets. Moreover, some of these countries, which have a professional army, are discussing the restoration of mandatory military service. What is the reason that countries without an immediate threat of war are striving to modernize their armaments and enhance their military readiness? They all understand that diplomatic successes are primarily based on modern security mechanisms and capable armies. Is there any sense in writing about what the Armenian authorities propose under the current circumstances — to rely on Turkish-Azerbaijani assurances and simply enjoy 'peace'?”
