Attempt to Destroy the Republic: Macron Blames the 'Yellow Vests'

The 'Yellow Vests' intend to 'destroy the republic.' This opinion has been expressed by French President Emmanuel Macron.

“What happened today on the Champs-Élysées is no longer a protest. These are people who want to destroy the republic. All those who were there are involved in this,” Macron wrote on Twitter.

The French president also noted that it is necessary to make “impactful decisions” to prevent such incidents from recurring.

It should be reminded that on Saturday, the eighteenth protest of the 'Yellow Vests' movement took place in Paris, attended by more than seven thousand people. The demonstrators used explosives and set fire to shops and cafes.
