Significant Increase in Foster Families Recorded in Armenia

A significant increase in the number of foster families has been recorded in Armenia between 2018 and 2025. This was announced by Arsen Torosyan, the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs of Armenia, during parliamentary hearings on September 22 regarding the essence of bills related to the protection of children's rights.

The minister noted that currently, there are 108 registered foster families and 158 children in Armenia. "For comparison, in 2018, we only had 17 families and 18 children," Torosyan emphasized.
