Sanctions Against Israel Must Be Implemented: Turkish Foreign Ministry
Ofelya
The decision by several Western countries to recognize the state of Palestine should be accompanied by sanctions against Israel in order to pave the way for a two-state solution, said Ismail Karayel, the head of the Turkey-EU Interparliamentary Commission, in an interview with Ria Novosti.
“We hope that along with the decisions to recognize Palestine, Great Britain and the EU will start to impose sanctions and a number of other measures against Israel. We have witnessed Israel's genocide live. There is increasing criticism among the Western public regarding the government's inaction, while women and children are dying from airstrikes and starvation in Gaza,” Karayel stated.
