Ruben Rubinyan Addresses the 'Peace Crossroads' Project
Cooperation with NATO is part of Armenia's balanced and equidistant foreign policy, and we are ready to continue this cooperation aimed at strengthening regional and global security. Today, during the opening speech of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly's 108th Rose-Roth seminar on the theme 'Armenia and the South Caucasus in a Changing World: Strengthening Democracy and Regional Security', Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly and Special Representative for the Normalization Process between Armenia and Turkey, Ruben Rubinyan, stated that Armenia is hosting this seminar for the fourth time, reminding us that in today's fragile world, we are all responsible for maintaining peace.
“Wars and conflicts continue to hang like the sword of Damocles over the heads of nations, bringing countless casualties and suffering. Over these years, the world has undergone many changes, and Armenia is also adapting to new realities while remaining committed to its independence, sovereignty, and aspirations for stable coexistence with its neighbors,” stated Rubinyan.
He also presented the latest developments in the South Caucasus, particularly regarding the normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the delimitation and demarcation process, the 'Peace Crossroads' project, and more. Additionally, he highlighted the ongoing process aimed at normalizing relations between Armenia and Turkey, emphasizing that it continues to be one of Armenia's foreign policy priorities.
