Mikael Sarbazan Has a Reputation That Terrifies Them, Lawyer Says
The court's behavior thus far indicates that it will do what they demand. This was stated by defense lawyer Yerem Sargsyan in a conversation with journalists, noting that the court evidently has fears and has been constrained from the outset; therefore, they have no other expectations now. At the same time, he mentioned that there is criminal liability for rendering manifestly unjust judicial acts.
“Mikael Sarbazan objectively addresses societal, social, and political events as a concerned citizen. When these observations are undesirable for the authorities, Mikael Sarbazan has a reputation that terrifies them. All of this shows that anyone who criticizes the authorities will find themselves in penitentiary institutions,” he added.
