Iran Suspends Cooperation with IAEA Again
Iran has once again suspended its cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) due to the actions of European countries, IRIB reports, citing the country's Supreme National Security Council.
The interactions lasted merely 10 days. This decision was made during a session of the Supreme National Security Council of the Islamic Republic, chaired by Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian.
"The Iranian Foreign Ministry has also been instructed to continue consultations within the framework of the decisions made by the Supreme National Security Council to protect the national interests of the country," the statement issued at the end of the meeting noted.
The UN Security Council has reinstated sanctions against Iran. The Iranian Foreign Ministry has criticized this decision, stating that Tehran reserves the right to respond accordingly.
