Tragic Car Accident in Syunik Leaves One Dead

On September 19, at 12:23 PM, the crisis management center of the Syunik regional rescue service received a report that an accident had occurred at the intersection of Shinuhayr village, and assistance from rescuers was required.

A team from the fire-rescue unit of the Ministry of Emergency Situations was dispatched to the scene. It was determined that a "Vaz" vehicle collided with a "Volvo" fuel tanker at the intersection of Shinuhayr village, resulting in the death of the driver of the "Vaz" vehicle at the scene.

Before the rescuers arrived, local authorities managed to extract the driver's body from the vehicle and called an ambulance for the passenger, who was subsequently hospitalized at a medical center.

The rescuers also disconnected the "Vaz" vehicle and shut off the gas cylinder valve.
