Light Rain in Yerevan Causes Power Outages and Major Traffic Jams

Today evening, the light rain that fell in Yerevan, along with subsequent power outages, became the cause of significant traffic jams. According to Yandex maps, traffic jams in Yerevan reached a level of 10 points. Almost all streets experienced heavy congestion.

The building of the Yerevan Opera and Ballet was also left without electricity, forcing the orchestra to attempt to play under the light of mobile phones in the Philharmonic Hall.

It is worth noting that in the Philharmonic Hall of the National Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet of Armenia, a concert opening the 17th Yerevan International Music Festival was scheduled today, coinciding with the 100th anniversary of the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra.
