Iran Again Conducts Mass Arrests, WSJ Reports
Iranian authorities have once again begun mass arrests of citizens suspected of disloyalty to the regime, according to a report by The Wall Street Journal, citing sources.
Those arrested in Iran are accused of espionage, filming attacks, promoting monarchical views, and selling Starlink terminals. Since the onset of attacks from the United States and Israel, at least 500 people have been detained, although the actual number of arrests could be significantly higher.
State television has warned that security forces may use deadly force; already, 11 monarchists have been killed during the arrests. Authorities have sent messages to citizens warning that "rebels will receive a stronger blow than on January 8."
