Armenia Committed to Regional Connectivity Agenda: Deputy Prime Minister

Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Mher Grigoryan and EU Commissioner for Enlargement Olivér Várhelyi have made statements regarding the deepening of Armenia-EU relations.

In recent years, Armenia-EU relations have acquired a new quality and depth. We are pleased to note that our bilateral agenda has been enriched with new, important components, including the initiation of political and security dialogue. A vivid proof of this is the political agreement reached around our partnership's new agenda.

Armenia is committed to the regional connectivity agenda. The agreements reached during high-level meetings in Washington and Brussels, including the preliminary signing of the Peace Agreement and the Declaration, provide us with new opportunities for unblocking infrastructure, advancing the Peace crossroads initiative, and the TRIPP project.

These initiatives complement each other and, in our opinion, align harmoniously with the EU's Global Gateway strategy. In this regard, we both emphasized the EU's support aimed at sustainable development of the region.

We also noted that a key component of our bilateral relations is the visa liberalization process. We highlighted the progress made in this direction with satisfaction. I am confident that through our joint efforts, we will achieve tangible results.
