Old Trolleybuses Will No Longer Exist in Yerevan by 2026, Says Avinyan

Old trolleybuses will no longer exist in Yerevan by 2026. This was announced today by Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan during a government meeting.

The decision was made to purchase 45 new trolleybuses and 104 new elevators. A total of 30 trolleybuses have already been purchased.

“The competition has been held for a while now, and after the allocation of financial resources, we expect that by the first quarter of 2026, the 45 trolleybuses will be in Yerevan and will be on the routes. I want to express my special gratitude to you; this is your initiative,” Avinyan stated.
