Zatuliny Calls to Prevent New Genocide in Artsakh

Russian State Duma deputy and coordinator of the Armenian-Russian "Lazaryan Club" Konstantin Zatuliny has released a statement on behalf of the organization expressing concern over the ongoing processes surrounding Nagorno-Karabakh.

In a statement dedicated to the 108th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide in the Ottoman Empire, it is noted that the Armenian population of Nagorno-Karabakh is still facing the threat of extermination, and there is a need to unite efforts to prevent a new tragedy.

According to the politician, last week in the Armenian Parliament, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan openly declared his abandonment of support for the self-determination of Nagorno-Karabakh and the fate of compatriots who have lived there for centuries. Immediately after that, a new ultimatum was proposed in Baku: either the Armenians of Nagorno-Karabakh accept Azerbaijani citizenship, or they must leave, abandoning the land.

In connection with the new dangerous turn regarding the fate of Nagorno-Karabakh, the "Lazaryan Club" expresses its protest against the attempt to deprive the people of Karabakh of their right to freedom and self-determination.

The authors of the statement accuse the current leadership of Armenia of national treason, accompanied by constant accusations against either the country’s former leaders or Russia, as well as flattering historical enemies.

According to the statement, the Armenian leadership speaks of participation in NATO exercises against the backdrop of not accepting CSTO exercises in Armenia.

In connection with the above, the "Lazaryan Club," which has gathered people of various nationalities and professions who are not indifferent to the fates of the peoples of Russia and Armenia, calls on Armenians in Armenia and around the world to unite for the salvation of the Armenian nation and the protection of human rights in Nagorno-Karabakh.
