Negotiations with Israel May Yield Results, Syrian President Says

The interim President of Syria, Ahmad al-Shara, has stated that security negotiations with Israel could yield results in the "coming days," according to Reuters.

Ahmad al-Shara noted that if a security agreement is successful, other agreements could be reached; however, "peace and settlement" are currently not on the table.

According to the agency, al-Shara also mentioned that Washington is not pressuring Damascus to come to an agreement with Israel.
