Major Accident on Ejmiadzin-Ararat Highway, Injuries Reported

On September 18, at 13:13, the crisis management center of the Armavir Regional Rescue Department received a call about an accident on the Ejmiadzin-Ararat highway, near the market, stating that a citizen was trapped and required the assistance of rescuers. This information was provided by the Ministry of Emergency Situations' Rescue Service.

A firefighting and rescue unit from the regional rescue department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations was dispatched to the scene. It was discovered that a ‘Ford’ and a ‘Mercedes-Benz’ had collided and subsequently veered off the roadway.

The rescuers disconnected the power supply to the vehicles, closed the gas valve of the ‘Mercedes-Benz’, extracted the passenger from the vehicle, and brought them to the ambulance. The driver and passenger of the ‘Mercedes-Benz’ have been hospitalized at a medical center.
