Netherlands to Provide 14 Million Euros in Support to Those Displaced from Artsakh

The Netherlands will provide 14 million euros in support to ensure affordable housing for those forcibly displaced from Artsakh, Dutch Foreign Minister David van Velden stated in a microblog post following a meeting with Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan.

It is also noted that today, Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan had a meeting with Dutch Foreign Minister David van Velden. The ministers held discussions first in a one-on-one format, followed by an expanded format involving delegations. This information has been provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Ararat Mirzoyan and David van Velden discussed joint efforts to deepen the strategic partnership between Armenia and the Netherlands, including the implementation of the joint declaration signed between the two countries in March. The interlocutors exchanged ideas on expanding economic cooperation and business ties alongside active political dialogue.

Minister Mirzoyan highly appreciated the Netherlands' support in developing trade capacities and expanding access to the European market, as well as additional financial allocations to Armenia within the framework of the World Bank’s “Global Fund for Concessional Financing.”

Minister Mirzoyan emphasized that Armenia places great importance on its cooperation with the Netherlands, also within the framework of the Armenia-EU partnership. In this context, the steps aimed at deepening this partnership through the consistent application of the existing EU toolkit and strengthening Armenia's resilience were discussed.

The foreign ministers of Armenia and the Netherlands exchanged views on international and regional developments. Minister Mirzoyan, expressing gratitude for the Netherlands' stance regarding the crucial agreements reached between Armenia and Azerbaijan on August 8, provided details about these agreements.
