UN Commission Recognizes Israeli Actions in Gaza as Genocide

The UN Commission has recognized Israeli actions in the Gaza Strip as genocide. A new report from the organization states that there are grounds to conclude that four out of five acts of genocide defined by international law have been committed by Israel since the start of the war against Hamas in 2023. These include the killing of group members, causing them serious bodily harm and mental disorders, the deliberate creation of conditions aimed at the group's destruction, and the prevention of childbirth.

As evidence of the intent to commit genocide, the report cites statements made by Israeli leaders and the behavior model of Israeli forces.
