Transfer of Drugs and Other Prohibited Items via Drone Prevented

On September 13, 2025, at around 5:00 PM, the staff of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia's "Sevan" penitentiary institution noticed a drone during a routine patrol. The device had dropped an object into the institution's territory.

An immediate inspection revealed a plastic container with a metal hook. Inside the container, there were two mobile phones, a charging cable, factory-produced playing cards, as well as packages resembling drugs, totaling 18.2 grams with varying weights.

Relevant measures have been taken regarding the incident.
