Evidence of Narek Vanesyan's Indecent Behavior and the 'Denial Marathon': 'Joghourt'
The Minister of Health, Anahit Avanesyan, and Narek Vanesyan, who is considered close to former Health Minister and current Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Arsen Torosyan, send denial texts every three days, often with unjustified demands. This is reported by 'Joghourt' newspaper.
The first letter was received on September 3, following our article regarding the competition of the 'Saint Grigor Lusavorich' Medical Center. In the piece, with the journalist's observational commentary, it was stated: 'It was Narek Vanesyan's turn, who, unlike Zeynalanyan, answered all questions as if he had memorized them like a top student. It was evident that Vanesyan had been well-prepared.' This was a straightforward observation, but Vanesyan made an unjustified demand to remove the publication and print a denial. However, no specific denial was formulated.
However, this was not the end of the story. On September 5, there was another letter regarding a different publication. Our material referenced an open letter from 27 doctors and professors published on October 25, 2018, demanding that Narek Vanesyan respond to his indecent behavior. That letter was published by nearly all media outlets at the time, so its mention was not news. Nevertheless, Vanesyan demanded a denial based on this mention as well.
It is unclear why 'Joghourt' should deny the open letter-fact of 27 professors, which has already been published in all the press. In short, Vanesyan's demands sometimes resemble not comprehensible steps within the legal framework but rather unjustified pressures against the press. And as much as the 'denial marathon' continues, it is evident that such demands lack professional quality.
