The Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians to Meet with the Pope of Rome

On September 15, His Holiness Karekin II, the Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, departed for the Vatican, where he is scheduled to meet Pope Leo XIII of Rome.

The Catholicos is accompanied by His Grace Bishop Daniel Fntigyan, head of the graduate section of the Gevorkian Theological Seminary; Father Garen Hambardzumyan, director of the Inter-Church Relations Department of the Mother See; His Grace Father Isaak Grigoryan, the Catholicos's cross bearer; and the director of the Catholicos's office, the Honorable Father Vahram Melikyan.

In the Vatican, the Supreme Patriarch will be joined by His Grace Archbishop Khajak Parsamyan, Papal Representative for Western Europe, and His Grace Bishop Hovakim Manukyan, leader of the Armenian Diocese of Great Britain and Ireland.
