Kotayk Governor's Wife Works in Prime Minister's Office: What Assets Do the Couple Have?
Before becoming the governor, she co-owned two plots of land and owned one apartment in a multi-apartment building in her own name, which is located in Nor Nork and was acquired in 2000. In 2019, she co-purchased an apartment in the Arabkir administrative district. Almost a year after becoming governor, she acquired an individual residential house in the village of Garni, which, according to our information, she inherited; however, the means of acquiring the other properties is not specified.
This is reported by the newspaper 'Zhoghovurd'.
Last year, based on the 2024 property, income, expenditures, and interests declaration, Sahakyan acquired a Jeep worth 14,000 USD. His bank account balance amounted to 539,000 AMD, while his cash on hand was 10 million AMD.
Aharon Sahakyan declared a yearly income of 15,073,000 AMD, which was his salary from the Kotayk governor's office. As of December 31 of the reporting year, the outstanding principal of Sahakyan's loans and debts amounted to 16,617,000 AMD, of which 12,617,000 AMD was the outstanding principal of a mortgage for an apartment.
From the declaration of the Kotayk governor's wife, Roza Asatryan, we learn that she works in four different places, yet according to the governor's declaration, the woman works in the Prime Minister's office. A question arises as to how Roza Asatryan can simultaneously work in the Prime Minister's office, where she received 1.1 million AMD in salary, the Territorial Development Fund of Armenia, where she earned 6.6 million AMD, the kindergarten in Garni, where she made 87,000 AMD, and at the 'Tsaghkahovit Health Center' LLC, where she received 1,021,000 AMD in salary.
The governor's wife also received income from civil contracts from the Garni community administration of 1.7 million AMD. A question arises as to how one person can work at multiple state institutions. Even if she is providing services on a contract basis, it remains unclear how she manages to combine them,
