Authorities Provide Poor Response to Arbitration Court: Feroyan
The authorities of Armenia are providing a poor response to the arbitration court. This was stated by Armen Feroyan, the lawyer of Samvel Karapetyan, during a press conference today.
Commenting on the statement made by Justice Minister Surbhi Galstyan regarding this issue, the lawyer noted that he did not hear the statement directly from Galstyan. However, judging by the excerpt read by a reporter, he can assume that the Armenian authorities' response—that it is a "matter of internal affairs"—is a very poor one.
The lawyer emphasized, "The state itself chose the Arbitration Court, signed an agreement with it, announced it to the whole world, invited investors, and told them that in case of a dispute, if they do not trust our courts, they can turn to the arbitration court. Now to say that 'this is our internal affair'—is a poor response."
Earlier, Feroyan mentioned that the state is spending 3.2 million dollars for the failure to comply with the arbitration court's ruling.
