Powerful Explosion at a Bar in Madrid Leaves One Dead and Several Injured

A powerful explosion occurred yesterday at one of the bars in the southern district of Madrid, resulting in injuries to at least 25 people, three of whom are in serious condition.

Authorities report that rescue workers discovered a male body in the aftermath of the explosion. Local media outlets indicate that the blast took place on the first floor of a bar in the Puente de Vallecas neighborhood.

The explosion partially collapsed the entrance of the building and damaged the wall adjacent to the bar, also affecting the upper apartments.

The Deputy Mayor of Madrid stated that the likely cause of the explosion is a gas leak, although the investigation is still ongoing. Authorities have promised to assist the victims in finding temporary shelter.
