Man Takes Six-Year-Old Child to Haystack Under Pretense of Shooting 'Tir' and Commits Sexual Violence

A horrific case of sexual violence against a minor has been recorded in Armenia. The child, a small boy, has reportedly been a victim of sexual violence multiple times by a man living nearby.

The first incident occurred in the summer of 2019 when the boy was just six years old. The man took the child to a haystack behind his house under the pretense of shooting a 'Tir' and committed violent sexual acts against him.

The second incident took place in the summer of 2020 when the boy was seven years old. This time, the man promised to give him a bicycle spare part and took him to the basement of his house, where he once again perpetrated violence against the child.

According to reports from 'Factinfo', a criminal case has been initiated regarding these incidents, and charges have been brought against the man under Article 139, Part 3, Clause 2 of the RA Criminal Code (two counts), which pertains to violent sexual acts against persons under fourteen years of age. The man has been detained.

It should be noted that the investigation of the criminal case has been completed. The prosecutor has confirmed the indictment, and the case has been sent to court.
