Shamshyan's Report on Clinic's Doors Being Closed and Doctors Vanishing Is False
The "Beglaryan" Medical Center has issued a clarification today regarding the case of a deceased 30-year-old mother who passed away. They stated that the entry of the mother's relatives to the medical center was not obstructed.
On February 1, 2021, at 00:30, N.L. Arshakyan was admitted to the "Beglaryan" Medical Center, complaining of active fetal movement and pain in the lower abdomen. The pregnant woman was examined at the clinic, and a preliminary diagnosis was made: Ds: 35 weeks pregnancy; BMI; Varicose Veins; Intrauterine Fetal Hypoxia; Threatened Premature Delivery. Considering the diagnosis, the pregnant woman received pregnancy-sustaining treatment in the clinic, including magnesium therapy, spasmolytics, and therapy to improve uteroplacental blood circulation.
At 21:00 on February 1, 2021, a routine CTG (fetal heart rate monitoring) examination was conducted, during which a fetal heart rate of 190-200 bpm was observed, with beats being clear and rhythmic. A clinical diagnosis was made: Ds: 35 weeks pregnancy; BMI; Varicose Veins; Acute Intrauterine Fetal Hypoxia. The pregnant woman and her husband were informed of the danger to the fetus's life and the necessity for urgent delivery. Consent was obtained for a cesarean section for urgent delivery. The management plan was coordinated with the clinic's director, Professor G.A. Beglaryan.
At 22:00 on February 1, 2021, a cesarean section was performed under spinal anesthesia in the lower segment of the uterus. The operation proceeded smoothly. An underweight female newborn weighing 3000.0 grams and measuring 49 cm was born, with umbilical cord wrapping around the neck. The newborn's condition was assessed as stable and satisfactory. A post-operative diagnosis was established: Ds: 35 weeks pregnancy; BMI; Varicose Veins; Acute Intrauterine Fetal Hypoxia; Premature Delivery; Umbilical Cord Wrapping.
On February 2, 2021, at 05:30, the mother’s condition sharply deteriorated, and all resuscitation measures were carried out, which were ineffective, and at 06:15, biological death was recorded. The police were informed about the case, and the relatives of the deceased were notified. Their entry into the clinic was not hindered, and they met with the operating doctor and the on-duty staff. Therefore, Shamshyan's report about the clinic's doors being locked and the doctors vanishing is not true.
A forensic examination and investigation are underway, and we will provide further updates on the results. The management and entire medical staff of the "Beglaryan" Medical Center express their condolences and share the grief of the relatives.
