Netanyahu and Rubio Pray at the Western Wall for Trump and Gaza Hostages
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio prayed at the Western Wall in Jerusalem. He was accompanied by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who described the diplomat's visit as a "testament to the strength and power of the U.S.-Israel alliance."
“The Prime Minister and the Secretary prayed together for the hostages held in Gaza, as well as offering special prayers in honor of U.S. President Donald Trump, a true friend of the Jewish people and the State of Israel. They then placed notes in the wall's stones and toured the wall's tunnels,” the statement read.
Netanyahu referred to Rubio as “a great friend of Israel.” “I believe that his visit is a testament to the strength and power of the American-Israeli alliance, which is as strong and unbreakable as the stones of the Western Wall that we just touched,” the Prime Minister said.
