Israel Plans to Strike Egypt

Egyptian senior officials have announced that they have uncovered Israel's plans to assassinate Hamas leaders in Cairo. This was reported by the Middle East Eye publication.

According to agency sources, in the past two years, Egyptian authorities have managed several times to prevent assassination attempts against Hamas representatives during ceasefire negotiations in Cairo.

“Any assassination attempt against Hamas leaders in Egyptian territory will be considered by official Cairo as a violation of state sovereignty and a declaration of war by Israel. We will not refrain from retaliatory actions,” stated a senior Egyptian official.

There has been no official statement from Egyptian authorities regarding this matter.
