New Impeachment Motion to Be Filed Against France's New Prime Minister; Macron Must Resign, Says MP
The left-wing party 'France Unsubmissive' plans to file a vote of no confidence against the new Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu. This was announced by the party's coordinator Manuel Bompard.
In his speech, Bompard stated that the impeachment motion would be initiated at the start of the parliamentary autumn session, adding that President Macron should also resign.
“As long as he is in power, nothing changes in the country’s politics,” said the French politician.
It is worth noting that French President Emmanuel Macron had appointed the defense minister Lecornu as the new Prime Minister after the former Prime Minister François Bayrou resigned as a result of a parliamentary-backed impeachment.
