Turkey's Special Representative Arrives in Armenia
The special representative for the normalization process of Armenia-Turkey relations, Serdar Kılıç, has already arrived in Armenia. At the Armenia-Turkey border near the "Margara" checkpoint, he was welcomed by Ruben Rubinyan, the Armenian special representative for the normalization of relations with Turkey.
Prior to arriving in Armenia, Kılıç was in Iğdır, where he met with the provincial governor. There, he stated that the Armenian side is positive about the opening of the border, but emphasized that "a number of technical works need to be completed before implementing certain projects." He noted that he will discuss all these matters with his Armenian counterpart.
It is worth reminding that Kılıç had previously announced his intention to visit Yerevan. He has drawn special attention to the so-called "Zangezur corridor" project, describing it as a communication line of strategic importance.
