Israel Accepts Trump's Ceasefire Proposal
Israel has agreed to a ceasefire proposal concerning the Gaza Strip, announced the country's permanent representative to the UN, Danny Danon.
“Israel has accepted President Donald Trump's ceasefire proposal. We are prepared to halt hostilities, but Hamas is refusing,” he stated during a UN Security Council meeting convened regarding Israel's strike on Doha.
Earlier, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called on residents of the Gaza Strip to reject Hamas's governance and support President Trump's peace proposal.
It should be noted that on September 7, Trump announced that he had issued an ultimatum to the Palestinian Hamas movement, demanding acceptance of the conflict resolution terms, emphasizing that this is a “final warning.”
According to Saudi “Al Hadath” television, Trump has demanded the release of all hostages and the return of the bodies of those killed in captivity to Israel within 48 hours following the ceasefire agreement coming into effect. His proposal also includes “personal guarantees” that negotiations for a final resolution will commence immediately after the ceasefire, which will last for 60 days and may be extended.
