Trump Has Tense Phone Call with Netanyahu Following Strikes in Qatar

US President Donald Trump had a tense phone call with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu regarding airstrikes on Hamas's main office in Doha, as reported by The Wall Street Journal, citing sources.

The American leader was reportedly outraged by the strikes in the area of a close ally, labeling the attack as baseless. Netanyahu explained that there was a narrow window of time to carry out the strikes and that Israel took advantage of the opportunity.

Following this, the politicians called each other again. According to WSJ, this conversation occurred in a heated atmosphere, with Trump asking how successful the strikes had been, but Netanyahu was unable to provide a precise answer.

According to a senior White House source, even as a staunch supporter of Israel, Trump is increasingly frustrated with Netanyahu for his aggressive actions that leave little maneuvering room for the US, which are coordinated without Washington’s involvement and contradict Republican objectives in the Middle East.
