Tell People They Are in Baku Prison Because of Your Claims: Aleksanyan

In his speech at the National Assembly today, MP Vahagn Aleksanyan called for understanding why people ended up in Baku's prison.

“Well, try to answer that question from the outset,” the MP said, recalling that they had called for negotiations.

“Why don't you tell me what your leaders were convincing those people of, what were they forcing them to do, when we were talking about lowering the bar from here, what were you saying, what texts were you presenting? Go and tell the families of those people that it is because of the texts and claims you presented that they are in prison. Why didn't you say that you were against going to Sofia to negotiate, that you are their sponsor for being in prison? Provide those answers!

They say they will return to Nagorno-Karabakh, but tell me, from the very beginning, why did those people leave NK? You have entangled the fates of those people, you brought them out of there, and you came here—open the Hakar Bridge, open it... You took those people out with the hope that you would create material for a rally according to your logic. You see that you are unable to do so; today you are still saying ‘return’. Dear people, is it possible that you are not initiating anything at all?” Aleksanyan stated.
