Poland Fully Closes Border with Belarus

Poland is fully closing its border with Belarus. This was announced by the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The ministry stated that this decision is due to the upcoming joint military exercises "Zapad-2025" between Russia and Belarus, scheduled to take place from September 12 to 16.

"The decision has been made for security reasons, as the border with Belarus also constitutes the boundary of the Schengen Area," the statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.

Poland will completely close its border with Belarus on the night of September 11-12. Polish authorities have also announced that restrictions on flights along the borders with Ukraine and Belarus will come into effect on December 9.
