Armenia Ratifies Visa-Free Agreement with Kazakhstan
The Armenian parliament has ratified a migration cooperation agreement with Kazakhstan with 93 votes in favor and 1 abstention. According to the agreement, citizens of both countries will be able to stay in Kazakhstan and Armenia without a visa for 90 days.
After this period, it will be possible to obtain a temporary residence permit for purposes such as work, study, or medical treatment. Additionally, the migration authorities of Armenia and Kazakhstan will exchange information regarding citizens of their respective countries present in the other country, violations of migration legislation, and other related matters. On Kazakhstan's side, this will involve the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Labor, while Armenia will be represented by the police and the Migration and Citizenship Services of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
