The Sooner Katrič Nersisyan Goes, the Better: Prime Minister
I have announced that I envision the culmination as a significant spiritual event in the central square of Echmiadzin. We are currently discussing timelines, organizational, and content-related issues. This was stated today by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a Q&A session in the National Assembly, responding to the question of when and by what means they will attempt to free the cathedral from Katrič Nersisyan.
“There is an important aspect here; it must have spiritual content. Recently, I have been spending most of my time on this, presenting that the purpose of this process is not intrigue, nor solving personnel issues, but the goal is exclusively spiritual—the spiritual renewal of the Armenian Apostolic Church. This culmination will not be political or revolutionary; it will be an event based solely on spiritual, Christian values. There will be no political calls or speeches during this event; there will be speeches of a spiritual nature. There will be no compromises—Katrič Nersisyan must go. The sooner he goes, the better; nothing will save him,” he stated.
He added that there are criteria for participation in this process, for instance, if a person has not read the Bible or is not baptized, they cannot be part of this process.
