Students and Schoolchildren Granted Transport Benefits
During the first week of October, students and schoolchildren will receive an additional 15 days of benefits when purchasing a one-month transport ticket. This was announced at a session of the Yerevan City Council.
It is worth noting that as of January 1, 2025, a unified ticketing system will be fully implemented, and new tariffs will come into effect on February 1. A new fare for single tickets has also been introduced, priced at 150 drams, which will be valid until January 1, 2026.
Earlier, it was reported that a decision to impose fines ranging from 3,000 to 15,000 drams for violations of public transport payment rules came into effect on July 14. On July 28, during a regular meeting of the Yerevan Mayor's Office, Deputy Mayor Suren Grigoryan announced that program work for launching a new passenger monitoring system in public transport would be completed this week, followed by training sessions for staff of the Public Order Protection Service.
