Opposition is in Perfect Bankruptcy, Says Haik Konjoryan

If you're curious about how the opposition spent their summer break, there's no need to think long, as we just saw that our colleagues have not learned anything new. This was stated by Haik Konjoryan, the head of the 'Civil Contract' party, during a session of the National Assembly, referring to the speeches of opposition MPs.

“The same old texts — worn out, tired texts. The opposition is in perfect bankruptcy. Especially after the significant historical events that took place in Washington on August 8, the opposition must once again try to sing old songs. Let me remind you that the people our colleagues spoke about are accused of committing terrorism. This is who the opposition was talking about, once again reciting their old and flat texts,” said Konjoryan.

“At least there wouldn't have been an August 8, there wouldn't have been a preliminary signing of the peace agreement, at least there wouldn't have been a signed agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan, based on which the roads would be unblocked on five principles. Peace is currently at work in Armenia and the region; peace is more than realistic, and none of this would have happened. It's obvious, isn't it, that the attempt of terrorism was aimed at sabotaging the peace agenda, that an armed coup would take place in Armenia, that Armenia would become a puppet state, and that someone from the opposition would turn into that puppet. The whole struggle was about this, and that struggle has failed,” the MP noted.
