Armenia Ready for Open Border and Diplomatic Relations with Turkey as Early as Tomorrow: Rubinyan

Armenia is ready for an open border and diplomatic relations with Turkey as early as tomorrow. This statement was made by Ruben Rubinyan, Armenia's special representative for the normalization process of Armenian-Turkish relations and Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, during a conversation with reporters.

Rubinyan assured that there are no obstacles from the Armenian side and provided the recent establishment of diplomatic relations between Armenia and Pakistan as a successful example of how such processes can unfold. According to him, this is a significant event, and there is hope for progress with Turkey as well.

“If there is the political will, which we have, it will happen in the short term,” stated Rubinyan, recalling that there are no preconditions from the Armenian side and assuring that work in this direction will continue.
