Turkey Plans to Open Two Schools in Syria

Turkey plans to open two schools in Damascus and Aleppo. This information was reported by RIA Novosti.

"Turkish and Syrian officials will first remove anti-Turkish expressions from school textbooks that have remained since Bashar Assad's era. Special attention will be given to history and geography textbooks, and a new school curriculum will be developed," the media outlet writes.

It is noted that Turkish educators will be involved in teaching Syrian children who have returned from Turkey and have a basic command of Arabic. New educational centers will be created first in those areas where there has been a significant number of recently returned children.

"It is planned to open two Turkish schools in Aleppo and Damascus. Syrian specialists will be retrained both in Turkey and Syria. During Education Minister Yusuf Tekin's recent visit to Damascus, a roadmap for this project was established," the television channel reported.
