Europe Could Not Even Maintain Its Capital

Europe has failed to maintain its own continent. This statement was made by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, in an interview with TASS during the Eastern Economic Forum.

“Look how in an instant they simply shut down the human rights market; now they are not addressing it. They practically nullified the conversations about democracy, which only they know how to develop, as they failed to maintain Europe. In other words, they lost their continent. That is a fact,” said the diplomat.

Zakharova noted that now the peoples of Asia, Africa, and Latin America are the ones reminding Western Europeans how the situation in Europe could be resolved. “This, of course, is an absolute fiasco for those who consider themselves the 'golden billion,' exceptional, civilized,” emphasized the spokesperson of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

According to her, European countries have allowed the pace of economic development to decline. “I am not even talking about industry, science within the context of the European Union. But, among other things, they became a factor of tragic events on their own continent. These are the countries that usually taught everyone how to live. They came to Asia with a human rights agenda, began teaching democracy to Africans, intruded into Latin America, and created a humanitarian disaster right under their noses, from which they do not even know how to escape. I think this situation is fantastic,” added Zakharova.
