Who Was the Person That Fled from the Car of Armenian Ambassador to the U.S. Narek Mkrtchyan's Brother?
Yesterday, the National Security Service was involved in a collection process in Parakar. Operational data regarding drugs and illegal weapons linked to the brother of Armenian Ambassador to the U.S. Narek Mkrtchyan were received, which turned out to be quite significant.
Essentially, they are trying to understand the connection between the person who was in Mkrtich Mkrtchyan's car and him. As reported by the newspaper 'Zhoghovurd', it has been revealed that the individual who fled from Mkrtich Mkrtchyan's vehicle is Hrant Sargsyan, a resident of Parakar, who was still being searched for by law enforcement as of 10:00 PM yesterday.
Meanwhile, the brother of the ambassador insisted to law enforcement that the discovered weapons and drugs do not belong to him, but rather to the person who was in his car. It should be noted that it became known yesterday that Mkrtich Mkrtchyan, the newly appointed brother of the Armenian Ambassador to the U.S., has been arrested.
The Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia has announced that criminal proceedings have been initiated under Article 335, part 1 of the Criminal Code (illegal circulation of firearms, their main components, military ammunition, and other materials, devices, and items), Article 393, part 1 (illegal circulation of drugs, psychotropic substances, their preparations, or equivalent substances (analogs) for the purpose of illegal circulation), and Article 396, part 1 (illegal circulation of drugs, psychotropic substances, their preparations, or equivalent substances (analogs) or precursors without the intent of circulation). One person has been arrested. An investigation is underway,” writes the newspaper.
