We Have a 'Surprise' for Portugal: Yeghishe Melikyan

The head coach of the Armenian national team, Yeghishe Melikyan, assures that it is possible to make progress with the players of the Armenian national team.

"I believe in them; I cannot predict what will happen tomorrow. It is hard to even imagine and guess the outcome, but I am convinced that we need to see and feel a change in the game and dedication.

Regarding the selection of the goalkeeper, I will make a decision tomorrow, as Chancharevich is injured and will not participate in the match. Stepan Mkrtchyan will also not play against Portugal due to injury," Melikyan stated during a press conference ahead of the match against Portugal.

He declared that there are no issues within the team and his only concern is the upcoming match against Portugal.

"My focus is the match against Portugal. I have no issues within the team and I have never had any. We have a ‘surprise’ for Portugal, and I believe we can perform well," Melikyan said.
