The Return of Russian Football to the International Arena is Approaching

FIFA President Gianni Infantino announced during the UEFA Congress in Belgrade that he hopes Russian football teams will soon participate in international competitions again.

"Peace talks are underway regarding Ukraine. I hope that soon we will be able to take the next step and bring Russian football back to the international arena. This would mean that everything has been resolved," said Infantino.

It is noteworthy that since the spring of 2022, FIFA and UEFA, following the recommendations of the IOC, have removed the Russian national team and clubs from international matches.
