Egypt Refuses to Accept Palestinians on Its Territory
Egypt is not planning to accept Palestinians on its territory. This was announced by the country’s Foreign Minister, Sameh Shoukry.
“Resettlement is not an option; it is a red line for Egypt, and we will not allow it to happen. Resettlement means the erasure of the Palestinian issue, and there is no legal, moral, or ethical basis for expelling people from their homeland,” said the Egyptian Foreign Minister.
According to reports, thousands of residents of Gaza are ignoring calls from Israel to leave the territory due to impending military operations.
Egypt has repeatedly condemned Israel’s actions in the Gaza Strip. At the same time, together with Qatar and the United States, Egypt is acting as a mediator to halt military operations in the enclave.
Earlier, reports indicated that Egypt was amassing tens of thousands of troops near the Gaza border.
