Former U.S. President Joe Biden recently underwent surgery to remove skin cancer cells, reports NBC News, citing his press secretary. Biden's office has stated that his recovery is progressing well following the procedure. The date of the surgery has not been disclosed.

Biden previously underwent a similar surgery during his presidency in February 2023. In July 2022, he spoke about climate change and pollution, mentioning that there are many oil refineries in Claymont, Delaware, where he grew up. Biden then elaborated that he and others living with him have had cancer.
